Welcome to our Nursery! Established in 1990, our family owned Nursery is
well known in Tickhill and the surrounding area. We provide care for
children from the age of 3 months up to the age of 5 in the Nursery and up
to the age of 8 in the Before and After School Club. |
|
The Nursery is a happy place. Our main strengths
are that we are very well established, we enjoy great references from
parents who have brought or are still bringing their children to us, we are
still regarded as small and homely and we have a very low staff turnover. We
do enjoy being a part of our village community and try, whenever possible,
to take the children on visits around Tickhill. We also like to shop locally
for our vegetables and meat supplies and make use of our local library. It
is quite amazing how long it takes us to go into the village to buy items
for the nursery. Everyone wants to stop us to chat and find out how the
nursery is doing! |

Wilsic comes
out top.
We were very proud to be awarded a plaque from the Early
Years Development & Care Partnership for our Workforce Development and
Training. The Nursery promotes the continuous training of staff to keep them
aware of new developments in childcare and regularly sends staff off to
courses in order to improve their knowledge. All of the nurseries in the
Doncaster area were invited to take part in the nominations for this award
and we were thrilled to have won! |

Wilsic Road Day
Nursery at the Tickhill Gala.
Our theme last year was “1970’s Disco. The children, staff, my husband John and I all dressed up as disco divas (some more recognisable than others!). It was a frantic rush to put the finishing touches to our float as it kept raining but, thankfully, when the time came to set off the sun shone! We didn’t win any prizes but we all had a great time and brought a smile to a lot of faces!
